ABOUT THE BRAND
©COWBOY HEARTS started off as a dream. It was never meant to be anything more than something I had come to enjoy after finishing University, it began from curiosity, then trials and errors, sketches, pages and pages of notebooks with ideas and names, until I wondered why I was doing it all.
After some thought, I said to myself: "I'd like to make something that does not burden myself and others financially." From this, I started making things that were an alternative to bigger brands that I enjoyed buying from, things that felt trendy and unique. But once again, I felt myself question why I was doing it all, what could this brand, amongst the thousands bring that was 'ME'.
God spoke. It was almost like a whisper in the back of my head
He said to give back to others, to use my brand as a stage for His Glory, to share the Gospel. As most people can imagine, you ask how can this be done?
Things cost money, prices were increasing, and I still wanted people to hear the Good News.
I just went with it, the Instagram page took off as a surprise to myself, and I kept getting ideas, I kept experimenting, and the joy of creating started to excite me more to keep pushing what I knew. I started taking inspiration from everything, buildings, paintings, quotes, poetry, Bible verses, music, the brand just kept growing.
Thus, ©COWBOY TEARS and ©COWBOY BONES came to be.
Throughout this I have had many doors open to me, and many close. I have been given, I have had taken away, I have strayed from God's path due to anger and frustration and disobedience, and yet, God still remains faithful, He still reminds me that this is not as simple as I had thought because He has the final say.
I intend to keep making this a space where even if things aren't purchased, that God can speak through this, through me, to whoever, and wherever. I am a man, who is growing to be a leader, a protector, and a true man of God, I am not perfect by any means, but this brand has God's stamp of approval and will, and I simply wish to carry that out.
MATTHEW 11:28-30
"COME TO ME, ALL YOU WHO LABOR AND ARE HEAVY LADEN, AND I WILL GIVE YOU REST. TAKE MY YOKE UPON YOU AND LEARN FROM ME, FOR I AM GENTLE AND LOWLY IN HEART, AND YOU WILL FIND REST FOR YOUR SOULS. FOR MY YOKE IS EASY AND MY BURDEN IS LIGHT."
